According to a statement released by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), a total of 7,690 democracy activists and civilians have been killed by Myanmar’s military junta and its affiliates during the Spring Revolution period, from the military coup in 2021 up to January 16, 2026, spanning more than five years.
